When I made the Buttermilk Pie the other day I didn't have any biscuit mix the recipe called for, so I quickly mixed up a batch. Here's what I did.
Gathered the ingredients and got to work.
Since I'm lame and can't read, I sifted the baking powder, sugar and the flour. Not the baking powder and sugar_into_the flour.
Blend in the oil. I don't have a pastry blender so I use a wire whisk and just "pounce" it all around.
Blend it in really good.
I store mine in an old peanut butter jar.
Or I use it to make.
Beautiful drop biscuits,
that I cram with butter.

A handy recipe to have around.

Koko,
Wanted to tell you that I have a batch of 44 bean liqueur brewing in a jar and began putting together the blueberry liqueur today. I just have to go buy a lemon. Irks the hell out of me since we had 3 lemons trees where we used to live and could just go out and PICK one.
I've got cherry liqueur brewing for Christmas too.

That sounds wonderful, thank you for letting me know what's up.
I think I'll make some liqueurs for Christmas also, they'll make great gifts.

Thanks for posting this Bisquick substitute recipe; we spent a lot of time looking for a recipe that (1) didn't call for powdered m1lk, (2) didn't call for sh0rtening, and (3) called for reasonable quantities. (Intentional misspellings so that someone else can do the advanced google search to find this page.)

I'm happy you found it. Sorry it took an advance search.
I've also made this using Smart Balance shortening or Spectrum brand shortening. They do not have any trans fats.
enjoy
